Tommy Is A Genius

Tommy Boy

If you have been on any social media lately you know last week was the week in New York AKA fashion week! Although I would have killed to be there witnessing it through the eyes of bloggers and the backstage instagram clips from designers was almost like being there.

One of my favorite shows was Tommy Hilfiger's 30th anniversary f/w collection. Both the presentation (it was in a football field set up) and the pieces were brilliant. There is the beautiful red sweater with a thirty on the back in the collection that is glamour and sporty in the best possible way. There are only 30 of them like ever! Can't wait to see who gets their hands on them and how they style them. The whole collection is like a trip to the chicest prep school's pep rally. Beautiful fur pieces contrasted with edgy leather it is easily my top most wanted collection.
Do yourself a favor and follow their instagram for all the exclusive pics. While you are at it take a trip down their insta and check out their last seasons show. Just as brilliant but in a whole other way. I am still obsessing over the stars scattered through his rock and roll inspired S/S collection.
Just wanted to share with you how much I loved his show. Definitely going to have plenty Hilfiger inspired outfits to come!

Fire And Ice

Fire & Ice

The other weekend I went to a Chili Cook-off/Ice Carving Festival that happens every February in my town. As long as I have lived here this is the first time I have actually been able to go.

There were about ten different ice carvings that people from all over carved that morning. Some people were still working when I got there, ice was flying everywhere it looked like sparkles were falling from the sky! hahha These were two of my favs a dragon and the fishes in a heart (yayy for Valentine's day <3 )
There was a phoenix one I wanted to snap a pic of but I there was such a crowd around it and I was way too cold to wait around.

There is a cute strip of shops down this tiny road that I've always wanted to go in but never did until this day. There was this cool vintagey (Not A Word But Hey) store with loads of jewelry and knick knacks. I had to keep myself from buying the whole store. I grabbed some hot cocoa from the bakery in the picture to keep me warm. It was SO cold but I really wanted to see all the carvings.

This coat has been such a great buy with the horrible cold weather we've been having here. I feel like it is sometimes a bit much but nevertheless it keeps me toasty warm. hahha I walked around for a bit longer to try the different chilis. Some of them were SPICY haha but it was a lot of fun. It was crazy seeing people from all over in my small 'lil town.

Aside from the cold it was a lovely time!
Sorry for the lack of post I am trying to find a balance between school, work, and the blog.
I very much appreciate every view I get and I would love to hear from you guys.
Stay tuned for more post.

Recent Buys

Recent Buys

As promised in my last post...

I went on a bit of a shopping binge and I thought I would share some of my favorites with you. I honestly think I was at a mall almost every day for two weeks it was a dream and a nightmare all in one hahha. My wallet was sad afterward but look at all the cute clothes!!

When I was going through the pictures I took I realized I had zero color! I'm drawn towards neutral colors they are classic and easy to put together when you are always running late hahha. Just add a pop of color lipstick or bag = my personal fashion rule. That and wear whatever you want as long as you feel good. :)

I picked up a lace tank from Macy's that I thought would be great for summer. I wore it last week with a blanket scarf and I love the flowiness of it. It is very girly!
The black top has a leather front and the back is cotton which makes it very flowy and breathable.
This faux fur vest is one of my favorite buys ever I picked it up at Forever 21! Soft, warm, it has a hood, and pockets!!!
(leather top: Lord and Taylor's)

This simple sheer white blouse is from Express I got it for like half price yayy!
While doing some gift shopping I got this sheer ombre kimono with velvet lining and fringe (hahha what a mouthful) from Marshall's. I do sometimes wish it wasn't sheer, when I try to wear it over an outfit the fact that you can see everything bugs me. I don't know. But I know it will be great once it warms up.
The white faux fur jacket was actually a gift but I had to include it because I LOVE it. It is very light weight but keeps me warm plus it is very flattering. I tried a similar jacket on at a different store and hated the way it look on so I am thrilled with the fit. The next jacket like the last is from Target.
It is simple but honestly an absolute necessity, it rains so much here and this is great because it's waterproof. I had been looking for a raincoat and this one fell onto my lap so to speak. AND it was like 80% off! Only thing is I think it maybe a maternity thing but it fits like a normal size jacket would so whatever.

Sorry about the lack of posting lately school and work has kept me quite busy. I hope you enjoy this post and I will be posting more I don't like not posting. It makes me sad. hahha
